1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Rempah mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Rempah is a recipe management application that allows users to extract, save, organise, and cook recipes. The Service includes AI-powered recipe extraction from URLs, photos, and voice input, halal ingredient checking, cook mode, and community features.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
- One person may not maintain more than one account
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Rempah offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Free tier: Limited monthly extractions, basic features
- Tukang Masak: Unlimited extractions, all platforms, advanced features
- Kreator: Everything in Tukang Masak plus creator tools, storefront, and API access
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device's app store settings.
Free trials, where offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you create or upload ("User Content"). By making content public on Rempah, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the Service.
You agree not to:
- Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property
- Post offensive, harmful, or misleading content
- Use the Service to spam or harass other users
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the Service
6. Recipe Extraction
Rempah extracts recipe information from publicly available sources for personal use. Extracted recipes are structured representations of publicly available cooking instructions. We encourage users to credit original recipe creators where possible.
AI-powered extraction may produce errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying extracted recipe content, including ingredient quantities, cooking times, and dietary information.
7. Halal Verification
Rempah provides automated ingredient checking against known non-halal items as a convenience tool. This feature is not a substitute for proper halal certification. We do not guarantee the halal status of any recipe. Users should verify ingredients independently, especially for items flagged as "check-required".
8. Intellectual Property
The Rempah name, logo, and application design are our intellectual property. The Service and its original content (excluding User Content) remain the exclusive property of Rempah.
9. Limitation of Liability
Rempah is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Errors in AI-extracted recipe content
- Incorrect nutritional information or dietary flags
- Allergic reactions or health issues from following extracted recipes
- Loss of data beyond what is covered by our backup systems
- Service interruptions or downtime
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
