Rempah ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Rempah mobile application and website at rempah.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

- Recipes you create, extract, or save
- Recipe URLs you submit for extraction

4. Data Processing & AI
When you extract a recipe, the URL content or uploaded image is sent to our backend server, which processes it using AI to structure the recipe data. We do not store the raw content after extraction is complete. The structured recipe is stored in your account.
Photos submitted for recipe scanning are processed in real-time and are not retained after the extraction is complete.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database level. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored in device secure storage.

- Supabase — Database, authentication, and storage
- RevenueCat — Subscription management
- Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting
- PostHog — Privacy-friendly analytics

8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained for product improvement.

Rempah is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
